With more than 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur, corporate leader, advisor and facilitator, Joseph Bowers works with CEOs and senior leadership teams at moments when the stakes are high and the organization is changing.
 

His work often sits at the intersection of CEO transition, senior team effectiveness and culture alignment. He helps incoming and established leaders think through not only how they want to lead, but how the leadership team around them needs to operate differently in order for the organization to move forward.
 

Joseph's approach is practical, highly relational and grounded in the realities of running organizations. Engagements may include CEO transition advisory, executive coaching, senior team alignment, leadership retreats, culture and employee listening, leadership development, and the creation of clearer expectations around decision-making, accountability, communication and collaboration.
 

A particular focus of his work is helping established leadership teams navigate change without unnecessarily disrupting what already works. He helps leaders identify what should be preserved, what needs to evolve, and where longstanding habits, relationships or structures may be limiting the organization's next chapter.
 

Joseph brings nearly three decades of experience building communities and peer networks designed to help accomplished leaders have more candid and meaningful conversations with one another. That experience has shaped a core belief in his work: strong leadership teams are not simply collections of capable executives. They must learn how to challenge one another, make decisions together, work across organizational boundaries and take shared responsibility for the enterprise.

He has founded and led startups, served in senior executive roles in larger organizations, and worked with leadership teams across a wide range of industries. His experience spans North America and Asia and includes work in utilities, real estate, education, luxury retail, wholesale, manufacturing, media, supply chain, nonprofit organizations and executive leadership networks.
 

Joseph was also co-founder and CEO of The CREATiON Companies, a leadership development and retreat business built around intentional gathering, executive learning and meaningful conversation. The company developed and operated purpose-built retreat venues designed for leadership teams, peer groups and organizations to step away from the day-to-day, think differently and work together more effectively.
 

Previously, Joseph served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Geniecast, a real-time learning platform he co-founded, and as Chief Networks Officer for Young Presidents' Organization (YPO). At YPO, he led global platforms connecting thousands of CEOs around shared professional, personal and philanthropic interests, including YPO's international mentoring and member network programs.
 

Through his advisory and facilitation work, Joseph has supported CEOs and leadership teams facing succession, new leadership, organizational change, team misalignment and culture challenges. His role is rarely to arrive with a predetermined answer. Instead, he helps leaders see the situation more clearly, have the conversations that matter, make better decisions and build the leadership capacity to move forward without becoming dependent on an outside advisor.

Joseph is a certified facilitator and has worked with tools and methodologies including Birkman, change management, design thinking, 3VQ and executive peer facilitation.
 

Joseph lives in the Charleston, South Carolina area with his wife. Outside of his work, he is a musician, outdoorsman and lifelong believer in the value of bringing good people together for meaningful conversation.
