Roger Gardner

Facilitator & Transformational Leadership Coach

Roger Gardner brings over 35 years of experience as a business and media executive to his coaching practice. A Georgetown University-trained and certified facilitator and transformation leadership coach, he helps both individuals and organizations better understand themselves and learn how to enact change effectively.

At Safe Harbor Consulting, Roger’s practice areas cover both individual and team coaching, with a heavy focus on the idea that leaders must first lead themselves if they are to make a meaningful impact on the rest of the organization. Working with Roger, clients are encouraged to challenge their status quo, whether that’s through examining and shifting their own behaviors, creating cultural change in the team or overall organization, or simply becoming a more persuasive presenter. (Roger is also a gifted motivational speaker.) In challenging that status quo, leaders and companies are better equipped to set and meet new goals, forge new partnerships, and be more effective in influencing others.

Roger emphasizes patience, trust, collaboration, and empathy in his practice, and encourages clients to apply those same principles to their own work when leveraging change. Clients can expect a safe, non-judgmental, and flexible environment when working with Roger.

As a partner and executive at LEARFIELD, Roger helped to build the company into one of the leaders in collegiate sports marketing and served in a variety of leadership roles, most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Culture & Communications Officer. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed the Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
